The Hyperion™ ion source can be configured to operate over a large range of conditions and with a variety of ions.

• Gas species: The Hyperion source can be configured to run with hydrogen, helium, oxygen, argon, xenon, neon, or krypton. Please inquire about other gas species.
• Electrostatic lens: The source can be configured with an electrostatic lens to optimize the beam size and angular divergence for different applications. This lens can be configured as an immersion lens or as an Einzel lens.
• Octopole deflection: The source can be configured with an electrostatic octopole to precisely steer the beam or to provide quadrupole focusing.
• Adapter flanges: Custom adapter flanges can be fabricated quickly to mount the source to almost any SIMS or Ion Beam Analysis instrument.
