Analyzer Services Analyzer Capabilities Oxygen Example
The custom developed analyzer has features that make it capable of exploring novel areas of ion source research. These features include:
- Rapid spectra collection with a practical mass range of several kilo-Daltons.
- A signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) that can be greater than 104.
- Analysis of ions extracted from a source at energies from 5-25keV.
- Time integrated mass spectra and axial ion energy distributions for individual ion masses.
- Configurable for positive or negative ion analysis.
- Sub-eV energy resolution for all ion masses (lower at higher masses).
- Synchronous analysis of repetitive, time-varying events with 1ns temporal resolution.
At Oregon Physics this analyzer is an invaluable tool for ion source research and development. Here is time integrated data taken with the Hyperion™ ion source operating with oxygen. By integrating the area under each peak, accurate ion intensities can be determined. Each spectra shown took 1-2 minutes to collect.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss having Oregon Physics evaluate your ion source with this instrument.
